Current Goals:

  1. Officially file to become an association recognized by the United States Government (President)
  2. Get a checking account (national bank, i.e. Wachovia, Bank of America) and collect dues (Treasurer)
  3. Record and publish statistics, current rankings and history of association (Secretary)
  4. Create Charter Plaque
  5. Obtain a corporate sponsor (Treasurer/P&R)
  6. Recruit more schools into the Association (i.e. Penn State, UNC, Maryland, GT) (President/ P&R)
  7. Promote a recruiting campaign directed at having individual schools recruit members (P&R)
  8. Get dates for next semester tournaments and prepare awards (Coordination Director/ P&R)
  9. Coordinate conference competitions to determine conference champions (Coordination Director, i.e. Match Play)
  10. Get media attention

Tournaments will be held twice a semester for each conference and once a semester for the SEGCA Invitational. The location will rotate throughout the schools within the two conferences.

  • No school can hold more than one tournament a year.
  • The time, date, and course of where the tournament will be held, will be organized and coordinated with the Coordination Director.
  • Tournaments will consist of one, eighteen hole round of golf.
  • The type of play will always be stroke play in accordance with USGA rules.
  • Competitions individually organized between schools can be match or best ball play.
  • Each team is allowed up to 10 players.
  • When play is finished each player's scorecard is to be signed, dated and attested and then turned in to the secretary to be recorded. Failure to do so can result in disqualification.

At the end of the year the points are to be totaled and the team with the most amount of points will earn Southeastern Golf Club Association Team Cup and be considered Team of the Year.

Points will be awarded to each individual as follows for every tournament (in the event of a tie, each individual will receive the full point total):
